Hairdresser of the Year Contest, traditionally organized every year by Hairist, will be held under the main sponsorship of Hush Professional.

The sponsorship announcement of the contest, which will be held for the 10th time this year, was announced on February 8, 2021 by Hairist Editor-in-Chief Erkan Güzel with a live broadcast on social media platforms. Erkan Güzel ‘We are experiencing the excitement and pride of contributing to the sector with the Hairdresser of the Year competition, which has been going on for 9 years. We are embarking on a new journey this year. The main sponsor of our competition for the next 3 years has been the Hush Professional brand, which is taking firm steps towards becoming a brand recognized not only in Turkey but also in Europe and the world, with its broad vision and perspective on the future. The support given to our competition by Sistem Cosmetic is support to Turkish hairdressers, not to us, hope that we will carry our competition to international platforms together.’ And the competition protocol was signed with our Board members Sinan Kara & Sinan Aydın.

At the meeting where the awards of the competition held since 2012 were also announced, Sinan Aydın, CEO of Sistem Cosmetic, said, “We are excited to walk on this path with a brand that has proven itself in the industry like Hairist. As the Hush brand, our aim is not only to sell products to the world, but to become a world brand! Therefore, we attach importance to education and our contributions to the sector. We strengthen our education aspect with Pivot Point, which we have included in Sistem Cosmetic. “We are very happy and proud to support young talents with the ‘Hairist Hairdresser of the Year Competition’.”

Sistem Cosmetic General Manager Sinan Kara said, “Our favorite aspect of the Hairist Hairdressing Contest has always been the selection of the finalists by following the ethical rules and keeping only talents and art in the foreground. “We are confident that these ethical rules will continue in the future as well, so we are happy to contribute to this competition, which will include all hairdressers without discrimination.” “We will ensure that a platform is created where art and hairdressers will be at the forefront, not brands, and we look forward to the participation of all our hairdresser friends in this competition.” He finished his words by saying that we wouldn’t be here without you.

Competition rules will be announced on the website as of February 10, 2021. This year, there will be a new category in the competition. In addition to the Color & Cut and Avant-garde & Bun categories, which were in high demand in previous years, the grand finale of the competition, which will include the Bridal Hair category for the first time this year, will be held in December among the finalists selected every month.
